Birendra Pratap Singh completed his BFA from Banaras Hindu University (BHU) in 1979. His works illustrate various perspectives of human beings and the environment they live in. From the landscapes of nature to the cityscape is captured in his paintings.

Singh's latest series is called "Electrocardiogram - Internal Stories", where he represents the reality of human existence. Some of the paintings in the same series describe the real medical conditions of patients. Along with this series, traditional scultures, socio-cultural images are also captured in his works with a message of disappearing heritage in new Nepal.
