Maitighar Mandala

Maitighar Mandala Maitighar Mandala is a historical monument in Kathmandu, constructed in 2001 by a team led by the then mayor, Keshav Sthapit, as part of the preparation for the SAARC Summit. The mandala itself is a series of concentric circles and the colours inside symbolise the characteristics of an individual. While this site was once a magnificent landmark, it is currently in a dilapidated condition and is often seen as a space for holding demonstrations by different parties or civic groups.
