Naudhara Kunda

Naudhara Kunda is one of the important monument sites of Godavari. Although it has an incomplete history, it is known that the Silwal clan worships their ancestors on Baishakh purnima (full moon during the month of Baisakh). Every twelve year, crowds of visitors go to this site to participate in the fair called singha masta ko mela. The water is used for worship, drinking, cooking and bathing. (Raimund O.A. Becker-Ritterspach, ‘Water Conduits in the Kathmandu Valley’)
