Binod Pradhan

A member of Kashtamandap Art Group, Binod Pradhan completed his MFA from Lalit Kala Fine Arts campus. He was trained with late Prashant Shrestha. His first solo exhibition was held at Siddhartha Art Gallery in 2005, entitled “The Solitude of Color”. Since then, he has had other solo shows including “The Collection Show” at Imago Dei Café Gallery in 2008 and “Sacred Spaces” in Siddhartha Art Gallery in 2009.

Pradhan participated in many group exhibitions, both in Nepal and abroad. He is also a member of young artist’s group named Artists Society of Nepal and Prashanta Memorial Society. His earlier paintings presented magical landscapes of the city of Kathmandu. His later works, probably influenced by a trip to Bhutan, is inclined towards spiritual motifs, and often depict temples, chaityas,bahals and stupas of the valley.
